The Passion of Creation: Masterpieces from the Collection of the Fondation Maeght

The exhibition The Passion of Creation: Masterpieces from the Collection of the Fondation Maeght will be set up in the Art Pavilion in Zagreb from 5th October 2017 to 14th January 2018.

The exhibition presents some of the best works from the collection of the Fondation Marguerite et Aimé Maeght (France), one of the globally important private foundations of modern and contemporary art.

The visitors can see the works of some of the greatest names of 20th-century art history such as Georges Braque, Marc Chagall, Alexander Calder, Joan Miró, Balthus, Pierre Alechinsky, Pol Bury, Erró, Sam Francis, Ellsworth Kelly, Barbara Hepworth, Paul Jenkins, Konrad Klapheck and many others – a total of 65 works.

The curiosity of the exhibition are the works of the famous French painter and sculptor Georges Braque, one of the key protagonists of 20th century art. The exhibition includes as many as 21 works of Braque – paintings, sculptures, reliefs and drawings, but also the works of some of the indisputably important American artists – Alexander Calder, Sam Francis, Ellsworth Kelly and Paul Jenkins!

This is a rare opportunity to see in one place the works of leading 20th century artists, therefore don’t miss out on this excellent exhibition!
